Otium Logistics is hiring a serious, strategic, and persistent Director of Strategic Accounts & Contract Development to build customer relationships, contract opportunities, strategic partnerships, and long-term revenue pipelines. This role protects the company from weak deals and helps create clean, profitable, operations-approved growth.
Position Overview
Otium Logistics is a movement infrastructure company building a disciplined driver-to-owner ecosystem rooted in safety, ownership, service, family, and legacy.
The Director of Strategic Accounts & Contract Development will lead Otium’s contract growth, customer development, high-value account relationships, strategic partnerships, and long-term revenue opportunities.
This is not basic sales. This is not random cold calling. This role is about building serious relationships with shippers, brokers, sand plants, industrial companies, contractors, energy companies, construction companies, government-related opportunities, and high-value logistics partners.
Key responsibilities include identifying strategic accounts, developing contract opportunities, maintaining the CRM pipeline, qualifying customers, reviewing freight type, lanes, volume, rates, payment terms, insurance requirements, safety requirements, risk level, and margin potential.
This role must work closely with Operations, Safety, Revenue, Drivers, Marketing, and leadership before making promises to customers. Growth must be clean, profitable, trackable, and executable.
The law of this role is:
No relationship without tracking. No promise without capacity. No contract without review. No opportunity without follow-up. No revenue without protection.
Growth is not just getting a yes. Growth is getting the right yes, from the right customer, at the right rate, with the right terms, that Operations can execute, Safety can approve, Revenue can bill, and leadership can trust.
