Otium Logistics is hiring a serious, detail-oriented, and calm Director of Safety & Compliance to protect the company’s drivers, authority, equipment, customers, contracts, insurance position, reputation, and long-term future. This role reviews driver files, safety documents, incidents, compliance records, and has authority to stop movement when safety is not cleared.

Position Overview

Otium Logistics is a movement infrastructure company building a disciplined driver-to-owner ecosystem rooted in safety, protection, ownership, service, family, and legacy.
The Director of Safety & Compliance is responsible for making sure drivers, trucks, trailers, documents, incidents, inspections, onboarding files, insurance requirements, and safety standards are properly reviewed, tracked, documented, and controlled.
This is not just paperwork. This role is protection.
This role protects drivers, the public, the authority, insurance, customers, contracts, trucks, trailers, documents, the company reputation, and the 1,000-year mission.
Key responsibilities include reviewing driver safety clearance, maintaining compliance files, updating the Safety & Compliance Tracker, documenting accidents and incidents, tracking roadside inspections and violations, supporting equipment compliance, coaching drivers, preventing unauthorized dispatches, and submitting weekly safety reports.
The law of this role is:
No Safety approval, no dispatch. No clearance, no activation. No document, no movement. No hidden incident, no trust. Safety protects the future.
Safety has stop power. If Safety does not clear it, Operations does not move it.

Ability to protect the company under pressure
Trucking safety, DOT compliance, FMCSA knowledge, driver qualification files, logistics compliance, accident reporting, insurance documentation, oilfield/industrial transportation, owner-operator compliance, or fleet safety experience preferred
Comfortable using Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms, Google Calendar, Slack or Google Chat, Trello or ClickUp, email, Google Meet / Zoom, safety trackers, and document management systems
